Hard Water Testing in Lucerne, CO

Hard Water Testing in Lucerne, CO

Hard water testing in Lucerne, CO is the first step before Lucerne, CO Water Softener Installation recommends any softener. Guessing the hardness is how homes end up with the wrong size unit.

We test right at your tap and check a few things:

• Total hardness in grains per gallon (gpg). Anything over 7 gpg counts as hard
• Iron in parts per million, because even 0.3 ppm can stain fixtures
• Manganese, which leaves black or brown marks
• pH, since low pH water can affect some softener choices
• TDS, a rough read on total dissolved minerals

If you're on city water, we compare our reading with your utility's water quality report. Utilities often report hardness in mg/L. Divide by 17.1 to get grains per gallon. On a private well, our test is often the first real number you've had.

We also test after a softener to check that it's working. If softened water reads above 1 gpg, something needs attention, often the resin, the brine draw or the bypass being partly open.

Testing takes a few minutes and you get the numbers on the spot. For hard water testing and water softener installation in Lucerne, CO, call Lucerne, CO Water Softener Installation at (833) 995-0133.
